Are you a parent with an interest in looking after yours and your child's mental wellbeing? You know you want to raise a confident, happy child while modelling that self-care is important too. And you’re supportive, caring and always doing your best. It can feel like a constant struggle at times because you’re more than willing to DO THE WORK. Fact is… there are just some things you just can’t do alone. Sometimes stress just gets in the way, and you need a little support to breakthrough.
I see you. Hi, I’m Natasha and I know how that feels. In case we’ve never met before, let me tell you a little bit about me…
I am a single mother of two, living far away from my family who are mostly in England. Getting some time for myself can be a struggle and It's always a balance of looking after the children, the house, work, friendships and of course myself. You know the feeling too, right? I was working as a gym instructor when the opportunity came up to train as a children's yoga teacher. I was loving working in the gym helping clients to feel happy, confident and getting a nice boost of serotonin (feel good hormone). While I loved what I was doing, I had always wanted to go back to working with children and I was loving my own personal yoga practice so this training sounded like a good idea. I felt inspired as a parent to try these techniques that I had learned at home and then I wanted to share with even more children. I knew instantly that it was what I wanted to do. I went on to take another children's Yoga training and then a 200 hour adults yoga teacher training. I have since been teaching both adults and children's yoga and loving every moment.
Yoga is so much more than just stretching. There is so much more to it when you go into the philosophy and science of yoga and it has helped me to live my life with more ease, feeling more confident in my body and holding on to less stress, tension and anxiety. My children often reflect back my words and practices, explaining it to others in their own words and creating their own ways, which lights me up. Not only do I get to use this practice to manage my stress, move in a way that feels good and feel connected and focused, but I get to watch my children get this amazing handle on life so early on.
Now, I’ve helped over 2000 children get started on their yoga journeys and looking to help more and more families too without all the typical Dr Google advice that comes along with living a balanced and more vibrant life.
In my classes I bring a sense of playfulness to practice and try to hold a welcoming, inviting space at all times. My classes offer a wide range of variations to explore as it is important to meet each student where they are, and no pose should ever be forced. I really want you (or your child) to listen to your body and feel connected with yourself. I want you to feel empowered in these sessions, you are your very own teacher, I can only lovingly guide you. In my Children's classes, I include lots of games and fun activities as well as having the calmer moments in there. Children love my classes because I go with their energy and listen to them - like my adults' classes, I want them to feel heard and empowered. I want to hold space for them to build their confidence, make new friends and learn some amazing techniques that they can use outside of the class. So, if you’re ready to experience a balance between decreasing stress, increasing energy AND empowering your children in a way that’s gentle, fun and doesn't take too much time, let’s talk.
