Yoga and Mindfulness for children and Teens.
Hi guys, I hope you have had a wonderful start to the new year! If you haven't, it's never too late too turn things around and you don't need a new year, a new week or even a new day to turn it all around.
January was a good one for me. I embarked on to my journey of healing through a reiki level 1 attunement. I celebrated the big 30, and I started back teaching Childrens Yoga and Mindfulness. This year I had all the best intentions of putting my business head on and getting out there. I made some big steps but I also hid away a bit. I realised that I needed to be really clear on what I wanted - on all aspects of my life. Sometimes we can think we want something and even think we are making steps towards making it happen but in reality something is holding us back. I started to list what I wanted and making it really specific. I did this in different sections, business, home life and love life. What it revealed was actually very interesting. being valentines day tomorrow I will go ahead and share a little about my love life. Why can I not seem to find a joyful, happy relationship? The answer was actually so obvious. Part of this exercise was listing exactly what I wanted and exactly how I wanted it to look. So for love life I decided to list the qualities of my perfect partner..... I could not list one damn thing! It turned out I can't find my perfect partner because I'm not even sure I want one! I have had such a great year focusing on self care, self love and being independent that I am just not sure where someone else fits in to this. And you know what? That is okay! Ones purpose is not to find that one perfect soul mate, it will happen when it is ready to happen and when I am more open to receiving it. If you are spending Valentines day on your own wether you are single or just because your partner is working, why not take this opportunity to practice some self care? This doesn't always mean spending loads on a massage or spa treatment, it can be something simple like lovingly preparing yourself dinner, getting out for a walk without the distractions of technology or even just take a nap! There are so many things we can do to practice self care. What are your favourite self care routines? I also wanted to talk about that inner voice. We all have it. That little voice that tells us we aren't good enough or not worthy enough for some reason. This is a voice that used to have a lot of power over me. The bad news is that it doesn't really go away completely, but there are definitely some ways to keep her/him under control! Even just giving this voice a name or identifying that's all it is can be a big step. Then when the voice pipes up you can put it right! I had a big moment with that voice this week, I listened and then politely pushed it aside and knew that If I stayed in my comfort zone and I didn't put myself out there, nothing would change. So I have signed up for something big business wise that could mean great promotion but let me tell you, it scares the hell out of me! That inner voice wants me to cancel and hide away but I know this is a going to be a good step for building on my small business. Have you taken any scary leaps this year? So scary that you knew it was just worth doing? How do you master you inner critic? I would love to hear back from you in the comments or send me an email! Thanks so much for reading! Love and Light, Natasha
